I recently got an "I Do" Vox Box from Influenster so I could try out some new products! One of the products was "Nanoblur" from IndeedLabs. It's a perfecting cream that you can wear with or without makeup!
You can wear it under your powder and after your foundation or you can wear it alone. You can also wear it with moisturizer! I tried it out when I recently attended my friend's bachelorette party and I really liked it!
It minimizes the look of lines and large pores and creates "high definition ready skin," meaning you will look great in pics! I tried it out and I liked it! I probably should have used a little more, but now I know for next time!

High Powered Multipurpose Waterproof Headlamp
Here it is! It's LED, so it gets really bright! It's pretty light weight which is nice, and the headband part is adjustable.
It has a red light feature. The red lights can be on like a regular light or they can do a strobe feature.
There are two buttons on the underside of the light itself, so you can turn the red light and regular LED on at the same time. The regular LED has three settings, high, low, and strobe. If you have the red and the white lights on and they're both set to strobe, they alternate so you can really see them. This is a good feature for emergencies.
This thing is bright! This is the high setting.
My bearded man wanted me to take this picture. Ha. He gives it two thumbs up! I told him he was going to be on my blog and he was okay with that, so here he is! Let me just say that he has a really big head (he's a really tall dude) and this fit still, so that was nice. He uses these headlights all the time for farm stuff, so he was excited that I got to test this product.
The headlamp came with a bonus! See that little flashlight my toddler is holding? It came with! It has a bottle opener on the end. It's really bright and waterproof! She was excited about it, as you can tell.
Here's another picture of the flashlight. I have to say that she played with this outside for a long time and she dropped it, threw it, stepped on it, etc., and it did not break. It's still working so I must say that it's pretty durable!
My rating: 5/5
Pros: Red and white light is nice, especially the alternating strobe feature. Both the headlamp and the flashlight are waterproof which is great (would be good for fishing)! Lightweight and comes with an adjustable strap. The bonus flashlight is great as well!
Cons: None!

KOVOT BBQ and Grill Meat Claws
Anyway, today I tested out some Kovot BBQ and Grill Meat Claws. If you're not familiar with meat claws, they are exactly what they sound like:
| These are not my hands, they're my bearded assistant's hands. :) |
These particular meat claws are nice because they are dishwasher safe! I literally threw them in the top rack of my dishwasher and then pulled them out so my assistant (hubs) could shred this chicken for me. He was just sittin' around so I put him to work!
My rating: 5/5
Pros: They're dishwasher safe which I mentioned before. They're also heat resistant to 356 degrees Fahrenheit so you know they're not gonna melt when you take those delicious ribs off that smoker!
Cons: The prongs themselves are spaced a little far apart so they were hard to use to shred these chicken breast tenderloins. I think they would work better on shredding brisket or pork or maybe even larger chicken breasts.

Reusable Silicone Baking Cups!
Let me just start this post out by saying that I was really excited to try these silicone baking cups. I've always wanted to try some out but I never have... until now!!
These particular cups came in a set of four. There are three colored ones that are shaped like regular muffin cups. Here's two of them:
It also comes with one that's shaped like PANTS:
PANTS! So when you make a muffin you get a MUFFIN TOP! So adorable.
The back even has pockets! I wish I would have filled these muffin cups more, but this was a new recipe and I didn't know how much they would rise.
My Rating: 5/5
Pros: These muffin cups are adorable, but they're also durable. I washed them in the dishwasher twice and they had no problems. The best thing about them was that my muffins did not stick at all. There's nothing that bothers me more than a stuck muffin. Seriously.
Cons: None!
If you're interested in purchasing these, you can find them on Amazon here.

25 Oz Infuser Water Bottle
The bottle comes with a loop so you can hang it from a backpack, stroller, or something else. The bottle has a screw-on compartment where you can put your fruit (lemon, strawberries, melon), or vegetables (basil, cucumber). There is also a strainer disc that keeps your fruit from going through the opening while you're taking a drink.
I chose to use strawberries today because I only had one lemon, and it's reserved for tonight's dinner! :)
A really neat feature of this bottle is that it has a lid lock. It's hard to see in this picture, but the bottom ring rotates so you can lock the button that flips the top lid up. This is nice to have if you're going to be toting it around.
Here's the strainer disc on the inside of the lid.
My Rating: 5/5
Pros: All the parts unscrew or come apart so you can wash them easily. I liked the color (I love orange!), and the button lock is a nice feature.
Cons: It is NOT dishwasher safe, but it's easily handwashable.

Babyolas Bath Toy Organizer
This particular bath toy organizer is made out of a white mesh and hangs from the side of your bathtub or shower by suction cups. It also came with two hooks that stick to the side of the shower and two squeaky bath toys!
I hung it in the kids' bathroom and put all their toys in it. I already had a bath toy organizer and it never stays put. I'm constantly re-sticking it to the wall. This one doesn't move!
These are the two hooks that it came with. They are easy to use, they clamp down so they're pretty strong.
My two year old was super excited about these! She's been carrying them around all day. In fact, I had to go out to my car and get them tonight during bath time because she left them in the cup holder of her car seat!
My Rating: 5/5
Pros: The suction cups on the hooks and the organizer itself did not move. They held everything up well. I liked that it came with both the squeaky toys (which are super cute) and the extra hooks. They're really handy for wet washcloths or even hanging up wet swimsuits!
Cons: Organizer itself isn't very decorative like most organizers that you can buy. It doesn't bother me, but if you're looking for something "cutesy," then this isn't for you.

Review of KastKing Products- Reel, Line, Grip Scale, and Line Scissors
I'm officially out of college for the rest of the summer, so of course I went shopping with my mom. :)
Okay... It was grocery shopping. I'm not ashamed!
This weekend I got to test out a few products that I got for free so I could review them. They are as follows:
KastKing SR3000 Spinning Reel
Super Power Braid Fishing Line
Grip Scale
Line Scissors
First on the list is the KastKing SR3000 Spinning Reel
It has a graphite body so it's really light weight, which is nice. The handle came in as a left-handed reel but I switched it over to a right-handed one. While I was spinning it, it was pretty smooth. It came in a bag that can be used if you switch out the rod on your pole for a different one.
So when I used it, I went ahead and put the braided line that I also got to test out so I could see how well it worked. Here's the braided line:
I had my assistant (aka husband haha) test it out for me so I could take some pictures. I did also try it out myself. It was smooth reeling in, but I felt like the bail wasn't flipping over as easy as it should have been. It took a little more effort to get it to flip as I was trying to reel back in.
Also, it did this to me twice:
It also did that to my assistant (hubs) a few times while he was using it. I do have to say that I've used spinning reels in the past but I've never used braided fishing line before, so that could be a big part of the problem. However, because it did "rat nest" like this, I got to try out the line scissors!
These are cool. I didn't have a pair of these before and I feel like I was missing out. They come folded up like that and all you do is pull them apart and they turn into regular scissors. Super nice for putting in a tackle box because then you don't have to worry about them messing up any of your lures. Here they are in action:
| Thanks, assistant! |
The scissors were sharp! I really think these are neat if you can't tell.
Last but not least, I also got to review a grip scale.
I didn't get to test it out on a fish because we never actually caught one :( but I did pull the trigger (it opens), and tested out the scale by pulling on the hook a little. It's a pretty neat tool.
KastKing SR3000 Rating: 4/5
Pros: Graphite body, aesthetic appeal (blue and white), ball bearings seemed smooth
Cons: Bail was hard to flip
KastKing Super Power Braid 8lb Green Braided Line Rating: 3/5
Pros: Doesn't kink and cause weak spots in the line
Cons: Harder to tie a knot, frays, does not work well in a spinning reel
Line Scissors Rating: 5/5
Pros: Easy to store, sharp.
Cons: None
Grip Scale Rating: 5/5 (without trying on a fish)
Pros: Cool design, easy to use
Cons: None
If you're interested in each item, you can search for "KastKing" on Amazon, it's one of the first products that comes up.
