Kids Cleaning Set

One of the things I really like about testing out new products is that I get to share them with my husband or my kids. Today's product was no exception!

 Look at this cute little kid's housekeeping set! My toddler has been super into cleaning lately, and not in a Cinderella-type situation, either. She's just a clean person. She likes things in their place and doesn't like messes... which is totally strange because I'm not a clean-freak or anything, and neither is my husband. I do think everything has a "home" though.....

ANYWAYYY when I pulled this out of the box, she was PUMPED. Here she is waiting patiently next to it all so I could take a picture:

Aw chunky toddler baby legs

This set came with a broom, a mop and bucket, a dust mop, a smaller hand broom and dustpan, two bottles of cleaning products, and a caution wet floor sign.

My rating: 5!

Pros: This set is adorable! Look how much stuff it comes with! I've seen other cleaning sets but they usually only come with a broom and dustpan, or just a vacuum. This has all these pieces! They're the perfect size for her, and she really enjoys piling everything back into that little mop bucket and toting it around. 

Cons: The handles pop out of the broom/mop/dust broom pretty easily, so it fell out and she was super upset, but I showed her how to put it back together and the crisis was averted for the time being.

Influenster VoxBox

I got my first VoxBox from Influenster this week! This particular box was the "I Do" box because one of my besties is getting married in October (SHOUTOUT to my daughter's Fairy Godmother). Influenster has some surveys that you fill out and if you qualify, then you can get one of these. To get this one you have to be attending a wedding, getting married, or being part of a wedding in the next six months. Apparently there was a summer one that recently got sent out, but I didn't qualify for that one. There's also a Yves Saint Laurent one coming out soon.

I haven't tried any of the first items, but I did try the two snacks and they were good! Those cashews I'm going to have to buy by the ton, they were that delicious. The Skinnygirl Bar was pretty good too, but not nearly as good as those cashews..... yummm.

Rayburn Fishing Credit Card Wallet Knife

Here's the Rayburn Fishing Credit Card Wallet Knife that I received for free so that I could review it!

 This thing is neat. It has eleven different things, and it's literally the size of a credit card. It fits in my wallet perfectly. I don't carry a knife or a lot of tools in my purse so I can see how this is really going to come in handy.

This is an up-close view of what it looks like. You can see the small ruler on the bottom and the saw blades on the top. It also has a can opener, a screwdriver, a four-position wrench, a lanyard holder, and a bunch of other things. 

My rating: 5/5

Pros: It's the perfect size and it fits in my wallet. It comes in a little pleather case so it doesn't rub against other stuff in your wallet/pocket/purse. The saw blade is sharp! It's stainless steel, and it has a little chart that tells you what everything is. 

Cons: I honestly can't think of anything. This credit card knife is legit.

Savvy Baby Boy Pacifier Clips

You might have seen my previous post about the Savvy Baby Unisex Pacifier Clips. I also got to try out the Boy version of those clips for free for my unbiased and honest opinion. Here they are:

Super cute! Lovin' the graphic prints. 

They were well-made. I think you would be able to throw them in the washing machine and the stitches wouldn't unravel. 

The alternate side has a coordinating fabric. How cute are these?!?!

My rating: 4/5

Pros: Cute material, well-made. The white part fit inside a soothie pacifier, which has a smaller hole than most. You could also use these for teethers. 

Cons: If you read my previous post about the unisex version of these, you will notice that I don't care much for these clips. They're hard to open and I feel that they're cheap. I don't know how long they'll last. I also think the edges are a little sharp for something that's going to be on or around a baby.

Savvy Baby Unisex Pacifier Clips

In exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion, I got a set of the Savvy Baby Unisex Pacifier Clips for free.

They come in a set of three, and they're made out of really cute material. The best part? They have a different graphic design fabric on the back!

Isn't this adorable?!?!?

I liked these clips. I felt that they were well-made and weren't going to fall apart. The white cord on the end fit inside one of the holes of a soothie quite nicely. 

My only qualm was the clip. I felt like it was cheaply made and the edges were a little rough. Maybe I'm an overprotective mom but I can just imagine her scratching herself on the edge of the clip. I would like these a whole lot more if they had a better clip.

Rating: 4/5
Pros: The stitching was tight, the material was cute, and it didn't feel like it was going to fall apart.
Cons: The clip felt cheap and was rough around the edges. It was also really hard to open, which I guess is good because your baby can't get it off of them, but I can't either. Ha.

Mail Call!

This past week was fun! I got a lot of product samples as well as things to review. I posted a few of those reviews a few days ago, and I'm going to post more here pretty soon. But here's the samples I received!

L'Oreal Advanced Hair Care-- You can get a sample here. I chose the "Ultimate Straight" product, but you can also choose "Color Repair" and "Color Vibrancy" I think.

John Frieda Frizz Ease- I got this sample through the Target sample spot on their website. It's no longer available.

I also got this:

I honestly don't even remember ordering this so when it came in I was confused. ha. Anyways, it's a "7 Days of Fierce" kit from Carefree. So it comes with 7 panty liners and seven envelopes. In each envelope is something for you to do that day so you feel "fierce." I haven't looked through all of them, but the first day was to wear a brightly colored lipstick that you normally don't wear. Unfortunately this is no longer available to order, but it's a really cool campaign nevertheless.

I also got a packet of seeds from the Feed A Bee campaign but we already planted them so I don't have a picture! This campaign is also over.

AlphaShades Sunshade!

Hey! Hope everyone's having a good week this far. I got through my FOUR presentations that I had due yesterday, and only half of my hair turned grey. I consider that a win!

Today I tried out a sunshade by AlphaShades!

It came in a nifty bag!

It's has a pretty neat design. It's like those collapsible round sunshades, but it's two that are attached. All the ones I've seen that are collapsible like that are usually two separate ones so you have to deal with trying to get both of them to stay up in your window. This one looks like this:

Don't diss my hair bow storage. As a mom of two girls, I have to have some place to put them in the car in case we leave one at home. Oh who am I kidding, my entire car is full of hair bows. They're everywhere.

So the sunshade was good in theory but it was too small for my windows. I got it to stay for this picture but when I tried to use it earlier in the day I fought with it for ten minutes and finally just left it half up because I had to get to class. It would probably work better in a smaller car, but I have a small SUV and it just wasn't working.

My rating: 3/5
Pros- I liked that they were attached to each other. I liked the carrying case and they were easy to unfold and then fold and put them away.
Cons- It was pretty flimsy. I felt that the material it was made out of was pretty thin. I couldn't tell you if it keeps the heat out because I couldn't get it to stay in my window because it was way too small.
